What is design development?
After we get through schematic design (conceptual) design and meet with our client we take on feedback and start to move our design into higher resolution and reflect changes necessary.

What is design development
The process
This is going to be very different depending on the size of the project. It may be as simple as a quick informal discussion on a site with a client as you are designing or a drawn out process of iterations and everything in between.
1. Presentation and feedback
As you present your conceptual (schematic) design to your client you can gain feedback on it’s direction through to finer details. You should also give the client opportunity to reflect after the meeting and come to you with further comments once they have had appropriate time to digest your ideas.
2. Document discussion and agree on Direction
3. Analyse changes and revert back to schematic stage
4. Development your ideas into further resolution
5. Seek further feedback from the client and reach agreement
