How Do you want to represent your business?

Collect a set of plans that you like the aesthetics of and would represent your business. Analyse the following

Colour:

• Is it computer generated, hand drafted or could be done on either?

• Are the colours high in contrast, washed out, pastel, romantic, cold, warm or something else?

• Are their many colours used or just a few?

• Is their texture in the rendering?

• Do the colours blend?

• Are they transparent?

Linework

• Is it black or a shade of grey?

• How thick is it?

• Is there no linework on coloured in sections?

• Are there dashes or other line types?

• What is the opacity of the lines?

Layout

• How is the drawing laid out on the page?

• How much negative space (white space) is there.

• Where are things on the page

• Are there images included?

• Does the titleblock complement the style?

Fonts

• Are they cursive, modern, friendly, an architectural throwback or something else?

• What emotion do they create?

ANNOTATIONS

• How are they aligned?

• What angles are the leader lines?

• Are they all on the outside of the drawing or some on elements within the garden?

• Are they uppercase or lower case?
